KPMG – Global Learning & Development – Case Study – Blending in technology using Storyline

One of the benefits of CCCE membership is that anyone from your company can attend meetings. Please invite your colleagues.

To accommodate people with allergies to perfume the CCCE asks that attendees arrive scent-free for monthly meetings.

You need to design and develop a new blended e-Learning strategy – where should you start? Your organization has a new e-Learning authoring tool – now what?
In late 2013 our team was tasked with building a new blend for our onboarding course. The stakes were high as this was a program for more than 20,000 learners in over 150 countries. The program needed to be tailorable for countries to translate and localize, and impressive so they would want to leverage them. To do this cost effectively, we knew we had to bring our e-Learning development in-house. We needed an authoring tool, and a strategy to follow. We needed templates, tools and a well-designed process to get modules built quickly and with the same level of professional polish that we previously used a vendor to create. Within three months of selecting our tool, we had more than 20 modules ready to release.
Whether you want to build only a couple of modules, or need to build an entire curriculum, we will share our challenges and solutions, tips and tricks and help you build your own strategy to win big.

Session objectives – at least 4:
• Explain the timeline for planning, designing and programming an e-Learning curriculum with a new tool.
• Identify five key things to consider when building your e-Learning template.
• Describe six process tools that your team can’t survive without.
