Simulation Based Learning through Gamification: Potential, Elements and Implementation

To accommodate people with allergies to perfume the CCCE asks that attendees arrive scent-free for monthly meetings. 

Gamification elements – especially business simulations – tackle behaviors even more than knowledge. They trigger emotions, provide a safe environment for learning and reflection and – last but not least – are great fun. This has valuable, measurable impact for an organizational learning, development or transformation initiatives.

We will focus on and demonstrate these key elements through examples of programs and initiatives in different industries across the globe. We’ll share best practices and show you high-impact and easily implementable learning solutions. We will also break with some presuppositions about business simulations and tell you everything you always wanted to know about their use and power.

Speaker Biography: Angela Feigl, TATA Interactive Systems

Angela Feigl is a Senior Consultant and program manager/facilitator for Tata Interactive Systems GmbH since 2015, in charge
of all global programs, projects and partnerships. She has over 18 years of experience in designing, managing and facilitating high-impact learning and organizational development initiatives for companies and corporations of all sizes across the globe and across industries with a strong focus on management and leadership trainings. Her work and main focus is on leveraging gamification tools and techniques to enhance learning effectiveness and behavior change as well as KPI measurement in training.

Angela holds a Master of Business Administration from the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration and a DEA from the Université Paris Dauphine. Born and raised in Vienna, Austria, Angela has since lived in Paris, Lyon, Bangkok, Barcelona and Stuttgart. She currently resides in Keller, TX, with her husband and son.
